The Program Assistant internship opportunity provides direct supervision for a group of children at the school site. Provides a quality experience for children and parents focused on TVM mission of building a sustainable academic pipeline for African American youth in Union City, CA. This is an opportunity to work directly with middle school students and have immediate impact on their academic journey. You will be in a classroom setting with approximately 30 children and 3 - 5 other volunteers (including the Program Manager).
We are seeking a Program Assistant to provide structured academic support and guidance to our students throughout the school year. The primary role is to help ensure that students meet or exceed grade level standards and expectations within a given subject area. Must be able to motivate and maintain the interest of the students while setting a positive example in all areas, including timeliness, attendance, and professionalism. Additionally, must take a sincere, active, and appropriate interest in the well-being of all students.
